Chorkonzerte in der Ehemaligen Synagoge St. Pölten
Jewish composers wrote sacred and secular music for choirs and vocal ensembles. Since the Romantic period, four-part chants for (male) choirs have also been heard in synagogues.
The programmes span a wide range of sounds and have been and continue to be performed by ensembles as diverse as the Zurich Synagogue Choir, the vocal ensemble Company of Music, the Yiddish Song Workshop ensemble, the Vienna Workers' Choir and the Vienna Motet Choir.
We would like to thank the Freunde der Kultur St. Pölten (Friends of Culture St. Pölten) for their support!
